- 1. D(1B) Dopamine Receptor
- [Dopamine Receptor D5, encoded by the human DRD5 gene, is a G-protein coupled receptor which stimulates adenylyl cyclase. This receptor is expressed in neurons in the limbic regions of the brain. It has a 10-fold higher affinity for dopamine than the D1 subtype. This receptor complexes selectively with GABA-A ligand-gated channel through the direct binding of its carboxy-terminal domain with the second intracellular loop of the GABA-A gamma-2 (short) receptor subunit. This physical association enables mutual inhibitory functional interactions between these receptor systems. Pseudogenes related to this gene reside on chromosomes 1 and 2. Defects in DRD5 are a cause of blepharospasm, a primary focal dystonia affecting the orbicularis oculi muscles, usually beginning in middle age. - [Human DBL Oncoprotein is product of a mutated variant (Oncogene DBL) of widely expressed MCF2 Gene, which encodes 4 alternative variants of 66-kDa MCF2 (DBL) p66 Protein, a cytoplasmic and membrane phosphoserine guanine nucleotide exchange factor that modulates the activity of small RHO GTPases by promoting conversion from GDP- to GTP-bound form. p66 contains a CRAL-TRIO domain, a DH domain, a PH domain and a spectrin repeat; the DH domain catalyzes GDP-GTP exchange. Activated DBL oncogene is generated by 5-prime recombination with 3 (pter-p21) and by 3-prime recombination with 16 (p13-q22). The truncated DBL oncogene is active toward RHOA, RAC1 and CDC42. DBL Oncoprotein disrupts normal cell function. ( NCI )] (UMLS (NCI) C0069500) =Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein; Biologically Active Substance ;
