[A short chain synthetic antigenic peptide derived from the Influenza virus A matrix protein presented by HLA-A2 multi histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. The Flu-Matrix antigen stimulates the lytic functions of the alphabeta CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) which are part of the acquired immune system capable of eradicating virus-infected or malignant-tumor cells.
