[This is a rare malignant neoplasm of the soft tissue. It is typically a disease of children and young adults. It is characterized by t(11:22) (q24: q12) resulting in the expression of EWS/FLI-1 chimeric transcript. Most commonly occurs in the paravertebral region, chest wall, pelvis and lower extremities. Treatment includes local excision with consideration for post operative chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. - 2003 ( NCI )]
